A huge building in the southeast China city of Zhongshan has opened up with a massive focus on LED lighting.
Called Star Alliance, the place is a LED lighting brand center and LED lighting effect experience showroom. The building has a huge LED canvas on the ceiling, on the top of lighting pods, and draping the outside. The project uses various LED products from the Chinese firm CreateLED.
- There is a 1,402 square metre ceiling screen that hangs 65 metres above the ground level of the courtyard.
- There are three circular screens viewed from above, and suspended from the ceiling. Their diameters are 3, 4 and 5 metres.
- There are four ultra-thin LED displays that are 4 metres wide by 12 high.
- Then there is a high rez display over the front entry, LED letters for branding the building, and the whole thing is wrapped as a curtain wall.
No indication of cost, but think a number with many zeroes.
